Construction Phase 3: Final Assembly

As you can see here, the frame is now complete and primed awaiting it's final paint scheme. The Vantec is also mounted at the back of the bot with it's lexan cover in place.

A good side shot showing the internals. We're happy with the clean simplicity of the overall design.

Here you can see the bot with the top, bottom, and wedge armor skins in place(with the factory protective coating). When completed, the front wedge and top armor will be a single piece of heat bent Lexan. The covers in place now are for testing purposes and will serve as backups in San Francisco. Our 4 titanium spikes for the sides are currently being fabricated by our sponsor, Custom Metal Products. When completed, the point of the wedge will be finished with a separate, replaceable machined edge.

Check out the newly painted green frame. The lexan you (can barely) see here is for testing purposes. Our competition skins are painted to add to the overall character of the bot.

A good shot from the back showing the internal components all mounted and ready to go.

In this picture you can get an idea of what the finished look will be.
